Physical Activity is Important to Vinnie Maliakkal


How many drug and diet commercials do you have to listen to before you start to feel guilty about your own personal level of physical activity? It seems after almost all of the commercials the line “with diet and exercise” is heard. Of course, there is little doubt with all the studies performed that being physically active does play an important part of staying healthy. However, it is easier to stay active when you enjoy what it is you are doing. Not only that, but physical activity can be performed a number of ways.

Vineeth Maliakkal understands the benefits of living a healthy and active lifestyle. As a high school student attending the Nazareth Academy in LaGrange, Illinois, Vinnie Maliakkal was proud to be a student athlete. As a high school student, he had to find the balance between doing well in school and doing well in sports, but he did so spectacularly. Vinnie Maliakkal was both an honor roll student and earned a valuable player award through his involvement in track and field.

Vinnie Maliakkal participated in track and field through Hinsdale Central and knew how important it was to eat healthy and stay in shape. The training that Vinnie Maliakkal had to perform in order to perform well taught him that in order to stay healthy and fit, an individual has to maintain a routine. If a person gives up their health routine, it becomes more difficult to get back into it.

Now, as a university student, Vineeth Maliakkal is active in other ways. He goes out and participates in a number of extracurricular activities and leads a very social life. All his time spent being active and hanging out with friends or working around campus keeps him physically active and academically involved.
